Rangotsav 2023 Link of annual function "Rangotsav" 2023

On November 10, 2023, DAV Public School, Katrain, celebrated its second Annual Day, "Rangotsav," meaning "festival of colours," as an independent school. The chief guest was Mr. Vikas Shukla, SDM Kullu, and the guest of honor was ARO HP Zone-C, Mr. K.S. Guleria. Other dignitaries included the vice-chairman of DAV Katrain, Mr. Naresh Katoch, Manager of DAV Katrain Mr. R.S Rana, Principal DAV Mohal and other dignitaries were also present.

World Environment Day, celebrated on June 5th each year, is a global initiative to raise awareness and promote action towards environment protection. In DAV Public School Katrain, this significant day commemorated with a range of engaging activities aimed at educating and inspiring the community to take responsibility for their environment. The celebration featured a rally, a best out of waste exhibition, storytelling session and much more.

Hawan is considered a ritual of purification. Hawan is the process of delivering havi (food) to the deity through fire in the kind. DAV Katrain has started a series of monthly birthday hawan for DAV family members.

Art allows kids to develop their creativity which is important throughout their lives. It also fosters mental growth in students by providing opportunities for trying out new ideas, new ways of thinking and problem-solving. School Principal Mrs. Chandrika Malhotra ji said being culturally awareallows us to acknowledge our worldviews and heritage.

We celebrated the birth of Lord Krishna with great joy and enthusiasm today. We had a number of fun activities for the children, such as Krishna dress-up competition, Handi competition etc. The children had a lot of fun and learned a lot about Krishna's life. We express our gratitude to all the parents for their support in making this event a success.

हिंदी भाषा हमें हमारे जीवन मूल्यों, संस्कृति व संस्कारों से भी अवगत कराती है। हिंदी दिवस हमें यह याद दिलाने में महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका निभाती है कि हिंदी भाषा दुनिया की सबसे पुरानी भाषाओं में से एक है और प्रत्येक भारतीय को अपनी मातृभाषा में बोलने पर गर्व महसूस करना चाहिए। हिंदी भाषा के इन्हीं महत्वों को विद्यार्थियों के जीवन में संवारने हेतु कक्षा सातवीं एवं आठवीं के विद्यार्थियों द्वारा प्रातः कालीन सभा में एक नुक्कड़ नाटक का प्रदर्शन किया गया।
